Title: Yoga Instructor

Growing up with two physical education teachers as parents, I've always led a pretty active life. I started practicing yoga at about 12 years old and this was about the same time I decided to be vegetarian. Fifteen years later, I'm still a vegetarian and ended up making a career teaching yoga. I'm based in Montreal, where I own Om West Holistic Centre, but I teach all over the world.

I have created two yoga CDs and instructed NHL hockey players as well as Olympic athletes.  In October 2008, I was a guest speaker at 21 Canadian universities on the Students for Sustainability national tour with David Suzuki, Stephen Lewis and Brendan Brazier, the formulator of Vega. Brendan was also featured in a nutritional segment on my new yoga and wellness DVD, Yoga Vita: A Delicious Discipline.

I am so thankful to have discovered Vega. It has practically become its own food group in my house.  I've always had a hard time finding something nourishing and light to have before teaching and a Vega smoothie or bar is perfect for this and it is convenient. I also follow the principles outlined in Brendan's book The Thrive Diet. I like the variety of proteins discussed in the book, as my meals are so much more diverse now.  This way of eating, combined with my daily Vega shake, has yielded amazing results for me. I have more energy, I sleep better and my body has become leaner.
